In short
We keep it simple. This website does not have a webshop, contact forms, user accounts, newsletter sign-up or analytics. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us by e-mail.
What we collect and why
When you e-mail us
If you contact us at info@nosycandles.be (for example via the “Send us a message” or “Inquire about co-branding” buttons), we receive your name, e-mail address and whatever you write. We only use this to answer your question or follow up on a co-branding or retail request.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you, or steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement.
How long: we keep these e-mails for 2 years after our last contact, unless they are part of an order or agreement that we must keep longer for accounting reasons.
When you visit the website
Like every website, our hosting provider Intention automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, in server logs. This is needed to deliver the website safely and to prevent abuse.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
How long: 30 days.
Third-party services
To make the website work and look the way it does, your browser connects to a few external services. They may receive your IP address when you load a page.
- Adobe Fonts (Adobe): for the typefaces on this site.
- Links to Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook: when you click a location or one of our social media links, you leave our website. From that moment, the privacy policy of that platform applies.
These providers may process data outside the European Union. They state that they do so under the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
We do not set tracking, analytics or advertising cookies ourselves. The website may store a small amount of technical information in your browser (for example, to remember that a pop-up was opened). This is needed for the website to work and does not identify you.
The map in the “Where to find” section is a simple image (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors); it does not load any service or cookies until you click it. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
